A bit smaller than I would have hoped I had to trim the stems a lot in order to make it fit. I also had to put some books on top of the box to keep it closed because the magnet wasnât holding because the flowers were too big. But overall itâs nice and sturdy.

Nice small shadowbox … I put a rock in it I brought home from a special beach in Europe. I printed a picture of that beach to place in the background. Nice way to display special memories.

Overview:As described.Experience:Very nice, good price, real wood and glass construction. Perfect well-made as is but… the mounting board does not hold the pins all that well and the hangers on the back are riveted in place so you can’t, without a lot of modification, hang horizontally.

Beautiful real wood shadow box frame
This is a beautiful made shadow box. Looks to be real wood (which I love ) Will later varnish it as is. Cause I was always taught never paint real wood it is not only ugly to do so but it is graceful not only to the woodcrafter’s hard work but to the wood itself and the trees that supplied it. Only stain and varnish to bring out the wood grain or varnish the natural wood. This is such nice shadow box, I am very happy with this. I thought I bought the bigger 8X11 but I guess when I clicked the button it didn’t switch them. But I was still happy to receive this beautiful Shadow box frame. I had bought it for a picture or more and items of my beloved 17 year of orange tabby that had passed away in May. I am ordering the larger box so there is room to place his stuff kitten he use to carry around and bring to me when he was but a kitten himself. I would recommend this for people who have special items or pictures that they would like to keep in one place as a memento. An in my case it is for someone special who is no longer with us. This one that I receive is a 8X8. with a front glass frame door that open from the right toward the hinges on the left. It is held shut by a magnet. It has hangers on the back and comes with wall mounting hardware inside and a beautiful “Thanks” card from the seller. You can either mount it on the wall or just sat it on a table or wide shelf. There is what I a think is a slight cedar like smell when you open the box. Just a hint not over powering. But I don’t think the wood is cedar wood, but I could be wrong, and it just maybe the oil used to preserve the wood. Beautiful wood grain pattern. I would recommend this beautifully made Shadow Box picture frame. As I said before I will be buy a larger one soon. So in a way I am buying this again. Just a larger one. I am happy to display this in my home and happy that for now it and later the larger one will hold memory of someone that was so dear to me. Thank You.

Works and great quality, butâ¦
The coloring is completely off. Itâs real wood, which is hard to find and greatly appreciated, however it isnât this warm brown. It looks like raw wood that they torched for affect, so almost a white vs black stripe grain affect. That being said, the important thing for me was the material and the quality, which are correct. I will have to take the extra time and work to stain this myself, though, which kind of stinks. Hoping it won;t run onto the cloth backing. Would still buy, knowing it isnât cardboard with a plastic print of wood glued on it.

This little “cabinet” was perfect to display three small, beaded pins I had made for myself. I can have them on display when not wearing them and easily access them when I want to wear one.
