Yet another cannabis shopping app has just launched to make it easier for consumers to order what they want and get it delivered right to their doorstep. The Jane app is bringing the modern retail experience to cannabis by enabling users to discover products based on local inventory, verified reviews, feelings and effects, and personalized recommendations.

A Personalized Cannabis Shopping Experience

Jane, a cannabis marketplace, launched this new iOS app to elevate the cannabis shopping experience and make it easier for consumers to find exactly what they are looking for. Collections, Jane’s personalization feature within the app, helps users discover new brands and products through recommendations based on activity, reviews, and user interests — similar to how Spotify personalizes a playlist or Airbnb recommends an experience. Jane’s Collections includes curated lists for everything from sleeping to socializing.

“This is an exciting time for the industry. With the Jane app, we are bringing a seamless shopping experience to cannabis and creating a platform to further connect our community,” Jane’s CEO Socrates Rosenfeld said in a press release. “The app provides consumers with a personalized, trusted shopping experience while continuing to empower our local retail partners to grow their businesses.”

Bringing Cannabis Shopping All Legal States

Jane is not the first app to offer cannabis shopping. Weedmaps, Leafly, and eaze are among other marketplaces and apps where shoppers can purchase products from different dispensaries and have them shipped to their house. Users need to be located in states where adult-use marijuana is legal, and they are prompted to enter their location when using each marketplace and app.

An Easy Way to Get Brand Exposure

For cannabis retailers who sign up to sell their products through Jane, the iOS app features customizable store pages, allowing dispensaries to manage their storefront within the app, so users can shop real-time menus and schedule a delivery or pickup. For the past five years, Jane’s platform has enabled retailers to digitize their live product inventory and reach new local customers online. The app provides customers with the convenience of online shopping while driving more traffic to nearby retailers at no additional cost to the customer or business.

The Jane app also presents a new way for cannabis brands to get in front of consumers directly. Featuring brand pages with content, products, exclusive deals, and information on nearby availability, shoppers are able to more easily discover businesses near them. Brands can also partner with Jane to sponsor relevant areas of the app experience to further boost their reach.

Optimized Shopping Experience

“The app design celebrates cannabis products, brands, and retailers while optimizing the shopping experience and prioritizing customer needs with Collections and effect-based shopping,” Jared Marr, VP of Design at Jane, said in the release. “The consumer-first UI is simple yet efficient, reframing cannabis shopping to be approachable and common like ordering lunch for delivery or pickup. The app positions Jane to shepherd the cannabis industry into the future, encouraging mainstream access and serving as the connective bridge for consumers, retailers, and brands.”

For each user who downloads the app and makes a purchase, Jane will donate $1 to their partners at the Last Prisoner Project.
